Purple cut crease – practice makes perfect.

I’ve been trying to master the cut crease look for months. I tried it once and it turned out okay, it I didn’t really know what I was doing so it could have been better.

I recently purchased the Revolution pro full cover camouflage concealer, which has a much higher pigmentation level than any other concealers I’ve used before, so I thought I’d try to see if this makes it any easier. It did. However, knowing where to cut the crease is still tricky. I’ve tried the trick where you put the concealer on your lash line and look up but I find that the crease is then reaaaally high up my eyelid. I’ll keep practicing I guess.

When playing around the other day, I thought I’d try again and I created a look that I actually quite liked and was proud of.

For the base colours, I used the NYX fire palette from the in your elements collection. (I posted a review of this palette Here). I used the nude shade to be my transition, and built up the red colour with the red, and maroon shades. I created a bit more depth using the dark green.

I cut the crease, and using a shimmery purple from the BH cosmetics 120 first edition palette. I packed it on using a flat brush, and used setting spray on the brush because these shadows can be a little powdery/chalky. I also used a champagne colour from that palette for my inner corners and brow bone.

The lashes I’m wearing are the Ardell Demi whispies. Brows are the NYX micro brow pencil in espresso.

I hope you enjoyed reading about how I got this look, and hopefully you like it as much as I do. I feel like I’ve reached a point with cut creases now, and maybe they might be easier in the future. Only time will tell.
