I’ve been on the hunt for good quality cheap eyeshadow palettes recently. One that I came across was the Elsa palette by beauty creations. I’ve seen this brand online, and I follow them on instagram, And I’d really liked the look of their Olivia palette, but when It came to looking at the palettes to buy, I fell for the Elsa palette.
I think I chose this palette because It has a really lovely variety of colours, that can be used for both colourful and neutral colours. It reminds me a lot of the Jaclyn hill palette, because of the neutral shades, and the addition of the greens, blues, and purples. There are more neutral and earthy tones In the Jaclyn Hill one, so It’s not an exact dupe, but It Is definitely similar. There are 35 shades in this palette, which really good for the price. On amazon it cost £15.42, which is really cheap for a palette this size.
The packaging is card, and closes with a magnet. Although I doubt this will last very long If It got wet, I do like the packaging, and I think that It’s a good idea to create a slightly less expensive, but sturdy packaging, and focus more on the shadow itself.
The shadows themselves are really pigmented and creamy, and really nice and easy to blend, without blending out to nothing. The shimmers are so creamy and pigmented, and apply really nicely, even with a brush. You can see from the swatches above that these shadows are really vibrant, and the shimmers are super bright and reflective. The mattes are finely milled and easy to work with, even the darker shades are easier than from other palettes.
I created two looks using the neutrals, and the colours, and I really love how each of them turned out. I messed up my winged liner in the first look, and the heart glitter isn’t in the centre of the lid for the second, but I still really loved the idea of these looks and will, and have, used this palette a lot since.
I really want to get some other palettes from this brand, as I really did enjoy the shadow quality.
I’d love to hear if you’ve used some products from this brand! I also hope you enjoyed reading this post.
Until next time,
